Looking for Recycled Boxes Toronto?
You’re in the right place…
Ever Eco-conscious Torontonians are keenly aware that even a little bit of waste from each person can add up to a whole lot.
The beautiful thing about cardboard boxes in Toronto, is that they can be recycled, over and over again, whereas plastic, even though it may have a recycling logo on it, it doesn’t mean that it will actually be recycled. There has to be a market for that particular kind of plastic (ie#4), and even if there is a market for it, there still has to be a buyer, to buy the recycled lot.
Toronto has an extensive Recycling program, as boxes are readily reused and recycled, with an abundant amount of buyers. Commercial boxes scheduled for recycling are typically placed in a big bin and collected once per week or per month. For large quantities, boxes are put into a baler machine that makes bales (much like straw bales on a farm).
The advantages to baling the boxes is that when there is a high market demand, the bales qualify for bulk removal rates, and the Greater Toronto Area company can get a big discount on the removal cost.
According to the Environmental Information Exchange, every tonne of cardboard recycled saves 17 trees, 7000 gallons of water, 2 cubic yards of landfill and 4,100 kw/hours of electricity.

How are Boxes Recycled in Toronto?
All Toronto boxes are collected, sorted, and then soaked, as boxes are made of cellulose fibre, typically from wood pulp. This turns the fibre back into pulp. The ink is either chemically separated from the pulp or skimmed off the top. The pulp is then pressed into sheets and dried. Each time the boxes are recycled, the fibres get shorter, therefore each box can be recycled up to 4 or 5 times before they disintegrate.
Recycled cardboard boxes can also be made into animal bedding, stationary and other packaging products.

Going Green, saves your Green ($)
www.AnyBoxToday.com believes it is benefiting future generations by using 95% post-consumer recycled corrugated linerboard.
Custom boxes also reduces a large amount of excess waste by having the right size, no unnecessary extra packaging material is required, and less footprint as it also reduces the cubed weight for shipping.
Right sizing offers several key advantages: ELIMINATE DAMAGES - Perfect fit at least doubles your protection, SAVE MONEY - by Eliminating Dunnage or “stuffing”, SAVE SHIPPING - by reducing the cubed weight, and SAVE THE ENVIRONMENT – by reducing waste.
Perfect fit saves time and money on payroll and processing, by reducing the amount of time warehouse staff spend packaging. For many companies, payroll is their biggest expense. Keep your edge, all the while helping the bottom line.
